Wutai Mountain is a Buddhist retreat center in Eastern Kansas named after one of China's four sacred Buddhist mountains. Wutai Mountain China is the reputed home of Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom and a place where "all sects live in harmonious existence".

In this spirit of enlightened harmony, we draw from the full tradition of Asian Buddhism with a special emphasis on the Tibetan Dzogchen tradition. Our approach is philosophical, open, contemplative and inclusive.

Those in the Kansas City area are welcome to join us at our monthly retreats which include practice, talks and discussion.
